Don't miss out on this elegant handmade five-strand multi heishi necklace created by Santo Domingo artists, James & Doris Coriz. The five strands of black jet heishi, accented with turquoise, pipestone, melon shell and other shell, measure about 18" from silver cone to silver cone. Plus there is a 3-inch silver chain, making the total length end to end of 21 inches. The tiny hand-cut, drilled & polished beads measure about 1/8" wide.

James and Doris Coriz make jewelry in the traditional Santo Domingo way. They each learned the art of jewelry making from their parents and have taught it to their children. The beads are hand cut and turned and polished. Making beads this way is very time consuming and the Coriz's high standards are obvious.
