Ty Douglas Findley and Sarah Diane Taylor united in marriage
Sarah Diane Taylor and Ty Douglas Findley exchanged wedding vows and united in marriage Saturday, June 4, 2011, at the Armstrong Browning Library on the Baylor University campus in Waco, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell L. Taylor of Brownwood, Texas, and granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Seale Tippen Cutbirth, Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Taylor, the late Ms. Edna Kunkel Taylor. Sarah is a 2011 graduate of Baylor University receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and minor in Business, and a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Physical and Mental Health. She is a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society. Sarah will sit for her LSW exam in June.
The groom is the son of Mr. Stephan Findley and Ms. Kim Grubbs Findley of Marshall, Texas, and grandson of Mrs. “Annie” Grubbs and the late Mr. William Grubbs, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Findley. He is a 2010 graduate of Baylor University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Mathematics and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. He earned membership to the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society, 1st Team All-Big 12 Conference Academic Team, Baylor Football walk on then a full Big 12 Division 1 Scholarship, State of Texas Pre-Licensed ‘Engineer in Training’, Boeing Community Outreach Program, MBA Class of 2010 Representative on the Graduate Business Association Council. Ty is employed as a Design Engineer in the Boeing Leadership Development Program.
Pastor David Rice of Crossroads Baptist Church of Marshall, Texas, was the officiant at the wedding ceremony. Instrumentalists were Mrs. Carol Jordan, pianist; Jamie Madera and Crosby DeLaney, violinists; Jackie Mitchell soloist sang the selection by Travis Cottrell entitled “Found.” “Dust on the Bottle” was played for the recessional.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father. Her formal floor-length wedding gown by designer Monique Lhuillier was the Belle Flower, a floral textured silk organza strapless cross-over draped bodice gown with a full hand tufted skirt and sweetheart neckline. The dress was accessorized with the Tulip crystal belt also by Monique Lhuillier. Her full length veil and tiara were borrowed from Mrs. Catherine Powers, her first cousin. Her pearl earrings were a gift from her father for her wedding day. The bride’s bouquet consisted of hydrangeas, roses, gardenias, ranunculus, hypericum berries tied with a white satin wrap.
