The Roadtrip to Baltimore Wasn't What We Ordered

That would not be the day the Pittsburgh Steelers. My terrible towel, which had a fund drive in seven victories, was nowhere to be found in the rental car.

Shit. Us. Are. Damned.

"Ahh, just superstition," we have tried to convince the guys in our head. "It will be great. Seriously." Thanks to some friends, we had a complimentary room for the center, we took our bags, locked the ugliest car ever invented and GM went to the reception.

Wait.

Hustling back to the PT Cruiser, we unlocked the door and looked again. No luck. Shit.

I hit the lock button and entered the hotel lobby to the reception. I asked the agent if there could be a possibility that we can check in earlier, and the trend began. No luck.

So we've dragged the backpack to the car and checked again for the Terrible Towel. It was not there yet. So, a couple of texts later, we made a run at the Tavern on Water Street. Two business associates had saved a seat. Catch a couple guys were nice, and since it was noon near the top, we asked our favorite Dogfish Ale.

The bartender with the Russian accent immediately apologized. Always the smart ass, I asked him: "It's OK, give me a city of iron." The blank stare was the only time a person in the colors of the Ravens looked confused every day.

We have completed the replacement beer, and walking the spectacular Stadium M & T discussed how the Steelers had looked solid in the preseason. As we spent a few workers dismantle the closing of the Grand Prix of Baltimore, we commented on how quiet the fans of the Ravens to us - both at the helm, and as we walked through the crowded streets of the city of Charm City. It is bordered on respect and since I was wearing a Roethlisberger jersey I was expecting at least someone to recognize it.

I did not know, but this recognition was only a few minutes.

We stopped quickly to a large tailgate and then made our way through the March of the Ravens. If you have not been to Baltimore, you need to go. Baltimore football does very well.

We skillfully made our way through the masses waiting to touch the foot of Johnny Unitas and bronze came to the door quickly. The greeter gave us what we thought another attempt to bad marketing Ravens to duplicate the Terrible Towel.

We started to swing over our heads, laughing hysterically. But then it hit us. No, it was not a towel. What a failure. Damn, it was thought, the Ravens always try to do some form of knock off for the greater contribution of Myron. Once thought a towel was actually a soft alarm.

* If you are working for a institute of higher education ( as defined by the US education act of 1964, institutes like 2 yr and 4 year colleges and some high schools which have teacher education programs with schools of education in these colleges) or a government research institution or a company associated with the above institutions where the primary objective of the company is to supplement the mission of the institutions, example would be a company providing research assistants to a reseach medical hospital. In this case the company is not cap exempt but the job involves the institution that is cap exempt. According to the 6) lens compatibility, you can use the non-cpu (non-AI, AI, AIS) lens in "M mode, but exposure meter won't function". My guess is: either it's like a lens adaptor, (and lose all auto-function!!!), e.g. a Hassy - Nikon adaptor or Nikkor-EOS adaptor. You focus with the lens wide open, manually turn-select your f-number, expose with the internal meter, and release shutter, ALL manually. Alternativelly, the diaphagm may "clock" automatically, but you have to meter using an external meter, set the exposure manually, and release shutter. Either way, you lose "exposure metering in one way or the other". The fore is just my guess. I would always try it out in a local store before buying anything (online). BTW, I don't know your finanical situation and your aspiration (particularly future) for photography. You are buying into a (D)SLR system. The body is the cheapest part you buy. The rest of the system causes you two arms and a leg. Excuse my straightness (rudeness?). The three Nikon items don't worth much in the used market. I am a 25 years Nikonian, a technology trailer, currently have a F2AS and a D1 (and a Hassey, plus a couple broken Rollei TLRs), decided to switch to Canon EOS 1-series, just waiting for the right time. I think Nikon has given away on the high-end DSLR to Canon. I mainly shoot landscape and PJ, and loves to travel to exotic places - stormy desert, rain forest, high altitude plateaus and snowing avalanching mountains (>4,000m), etc. I need something SOLID. Now that the "Secure Fence Act" has been approved in the house, will senate take on this bill and pass its own version? Has there been any indication at all from the senate leadership that they intend to pass something similar and if so, when?
