Lighting Science Group Hires Legal Veteran Zvi Raskin as General Counsel

To serve as general counsel. Raskin will oversee all aspects of the Company's legal affairs and advise the senior executive management team on operational and management issues.  He will also advise the Board of Directors on legal issues, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and director responsibilities.

Prior to joining Lighting Science Group, Raskin acted as general counsel and corporate secretary of Schick Technologies, Inc., where he oversaw the company's successful IPO in 1997 and remained with the company following its acquisition by Sirona Dental Systems, Inc.  In his role as general counsel of Schick and Sirona, Raskin was a member of the senior executive management team in addition to operating as the company's compliance officer. Since 2007, he has also provided consulting services to several other technology firms. Raskin started his career practicing law at the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
