2 local tickets worth $1 million — after taxes | Philadelphia Inquirer | 2011 ...

A New York ticket won the biggest jackpot around - $201.9 million in Wednesday's Powerball drawing - but two Pennsylvania Lottery games have made millionaires of local players. Here's the rundown:

$1.95 million won in Philadelphia . A Match 6 Lotto ticket hit Monday's jackpot by matching all six numbers: 3, 9, 24, 27, 33 and 38. The lucky ticket was purchased at City Line Lukoil, 4400 City Line Ave., Philadelphia.

$1.5 million won in Montco . A Cash 5 ticket that hit all five numbers drawn last Thursday - 1, 10, 17, 19 and 43 - was bought at Green Lane Liberty, 112 Gravel Pike in Green Lane.

Both tickets are worth more than $1 million after Uncle Sam's mandatory 25 percent cut.

$225,000 won near Scranton . Cash 5 again paid a lot of cash in Saturday's drawing, in which one ticket purchased in Pike County matched all the numbers: 11, 14, 20, 28 and 30. The ticket was sold at Hilltop Xtra Mart, Route 6 and Interstate 84, Milford, Pike County.

N.Y. ticket wins $201.9 million in Powerball . Wednesday's jackpot winner played at the Maulik & Chandni stationery store at 496 W. Montauk Hwy. in Lindenhurst, Long Island, and matched all the numbers: 8, 18, 38, 46 and 56, and a Powerball of 31.

Winning $1 million for matching the first five while having the Power Play multiplier option were two tickets, purchased in Connecticut and North Carolina.

Saturday's jackpot will be worth $20 million.

$200,000 won in New Jersey and Delaware. They were among seven in the same Powerball drawing to match the first five numbers, but not the Powerball. The other winners were in Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Tennessee and Washington.

No jackpot winner in Mega Millions. In Tuesday's drawing, no one matched all the numbers, but an Idaho ticket won $1 million by matching the first five numbers - 28, 30, 31, 37 and 55 - while having the Megaplier multiplier option. A California ticket won $141,000 for having just the five. They both missed the Mega Ball, which was 13. The jackpot will be $15 million for Friday's drawing. A Texas ticket last Friday hit for $35 million.
