A-Rod tells LeBron James critics to lay off

The cross-sport support comes three days after James acknowledged that fans irked by his public rejection of the Cleveland Cavaliers last year now reveled in his failure to perform during crucial times of the NBA championship.

"At the end of the day, all the people that were rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day, they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today," James told reporters Sunday after the Dallas Mavericks won the title James sought. "They have the same personal problems they had today. I'm going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.

"They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point."

A-Rod's backing isn't that much of a surprise. Many Seattle Mariners fans never forgave him for chasing in 2000 what was then called the highest salary of any U.S.athlete, paycheck $ 252 million the Texas Rangers have signed for the draw to the south.

When A-Rod arrived at Yankee Stadium in 2004, abandoned Mariners fans enjoyed watching it repeatedly fails in the playoffs for the same team who beat Seattle in 2000 and 2001 American League Championship Series.

Of course, Rodriguez finally got his championship in 2009. But if James takes the same nine years A-Rod needed to move from Seattle insulted to be rewarded in New York, chances are the 26-year-old will continue to have a lot of criticism between now and 2019.

In the morning, the President Travel in Morrisville, North Carolina. The departure of the south lawn and the arrival at Raleigh-Durham International Airport are open press.

The president will then travel Cree, Inc., a leading manufacturer of energy efficient LED lighting, and a tour of manufacturing facilities Cree in Durham, North Carolina. There will be a pool cover travel on the tour. Following the tour, the President will meet with the Jobs and Competitiveness Council to discuss initiatives and policies to spur economic growth, promote job creation and accelerate hiring across our nation. Later, the President will deliver remarks to workers at Cree, Inc. The President’s remarks are open press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Miami, Florida. The President’s departure from Raleigh-Durham International Airport and the arrival at Miami International Airport are open press.

In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at a DNC event at a private residence in Miami, Florida. There will be print pool coverage of the President’s remarks. Later, the President will deliver remarks at a DNC event at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, Florida. The President’s remarks are pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed correspondents and still photographers. Later in the evening, the President will deliver remarks at another DNC event at a private residence in Miami, Florida. There will be print pool coverage of the President’s remarks.

The President will spend the night in Miami, Florida.
