VIDEO: Rockville Holds Solemn Ceremony on Flag Day
The City of Rockville on Tuesday hosted a Flag Day ceremony that honored the history of the American flag and recognized members of the armed forces.
Mayor Phyllis Marcuccio read a proclamation declaring June 14, 2011 as Flag Day in Rockville. The ceremony, at Rockville Town Square Plaza , also included an acknowledgement of Americans who are prisoners of war or missing in action.
The American Legion Post 86 Color Guard presented the colors and the Washington-Rockville Elks Lodge No. 15 delivered a presentation on the evolution of the flag.

WEAPONS ARREST 06/10/11-(6:45 p.m.) Male juvenile, age 17, of Gaithersburg, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for violation of parole following a complaint in the 100 block of Gibbs Street. During the course of the investigation, the male juvenile was also charged with possession of a dangerous/concealed weapon (switchblade), possession of CDS-marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS-paraphernalia.
